Dragonfly Festival was founded by a group of 5 artists (The Hollow Egg) who moved into the woods of Sweden from the UK. Since the beginning there has been a strong focus on collaboration with friends and like-minded people who believe in creating something special for themselves and for others - for the love. With a maximum capacity of 1000 visitors Dragonfly Festival is a small intimate event that promotes up and coming artists. Trusting in the quality and originality of new music the organisers put together a unique program of performers from all over Europe who are; 'on the way up', independent artists with loyal following, obscure alternative acts, brand new projects and roaming souls searching the world for inspiration....It seems they find it at Dragonfly. Something in the air makes the artists give that little bit more; gives them the support to go for it like never before; its as if they are performing for the last time in their lives. The crazy part is many of them do it for free! They even come back for more....because they believe in the spirit of this small, late summer festival; and thats what makes it so special.
Just in its third year Dragonfly Festival is finding voice in the whispers of the people - the secret it is out, the journey has been made - and now its time to keep the dream alive.
